Anne Barnard teaches us--yet again--that reporting does not have to be based on verified information

This is a short list of her sources in one article:
1."according to rebel and pro-government fighters."
2. "Those accounts could not immediately be independently confirmed."
3. "Rebel leaders said a deal was struck to evacuate wounded people from the villages.".
4. " an antigovernment activist in the convoy". Antigovernment "activist"? But the rebels don't allow activism, or is this a synonyms for armed rebel in your mind?
5. ""another activist reached briefly by phone".
But the worst part is this; notice how much she cares to report about the civilians of Fu`a and Kafrayya and notice that she does not cite one source who is not rebels or people aligned with the rebels.
