Basically, when Western media launch Arabic branches they enter into financial transactions with Gulf regimes and allow their news outlets in Arabic to serve as mouthpieces for Gulf regimes. Huffington Post Arabic is one example: it has become a most crude and vulgar propaganda outlet for the Qatari regime and the Muslim Brotherhood. CNN Arabic has gradually been drifting toward serving Saudi propaganda: now they have Salafi fundamentalist sectarian clerics writings as columnists.  All for a fistful of dollars to the coffers of Western media organizations.
