ADC convention

When I first came to the US, the ADC (American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee), was quite popular among Arab-Americans.  The youth joined in large numbers because they felt that this organization was progressive and not beholden to conservative establishment Lebanese-American views.  That was before the organization was bought off by Prince Al-Walid bin Talal and other purchasers.  Of course, it has been dead long before Sep. 11.  I just looked at the program of its next convention: I could not recognize any of the names. I kid you not.
